LOUISVILLE, Ky. — At a time when many Americans are struggling to keep their houses, one local family is being honored with the gift of a new home.

The community is working together to build a house for one of the “lost boys” of Africa, who’s been living in Louisville for the past eight years.Thursday marks the first day of construction on this new house, but for the family who will be living here, it’s more than just four walls and a roof over their heads — it’s a place they can finally call home.
